 All classes are personalized for each student, team and skill level. Our drills and workouts are designed to promote better strength and technique for faster skill progression for you. 

DG classes have a strong focus on technique and proper skill progression to promote the safety of all athletes.

Downriver Gymnastics’ well trained and high experienced staff will travel to your school or gym for your convenience.

policies

  •  Each student must pay a yearly registration fee of $10 per student and is good for 1 year from payment date. No refund on registration.
  •  All class fees are due prior to the beginning of each session. (Full payment us due the last class of the session for the following session.)
  •  Class make-ups can be done at drop in tumbling, or another tumbling class of their level. Two make-ups are allowed per session. Pick up make-up coupon in the office.
  •  Refunds are given prior to the first class of the session ONLY. Please allow 2 weeks to receive a refund check. New students may request a refund ONLY IF withdrawn from class within the 1st two weeks of the session.
  •  All checks are to made out to Downriver Gymnastics.
  •  Returned check charge is $25.
  •  Cash, Check, Visa/Master Card accepted.
  •  Completed registration forms MUST be turned before ANY student will be allowed in the gym.

Dress code

Girls: Cheer style shorts and t-shirts. Long hair is to be worn up securely. No jewelry

Boys: Shorts and t-shirts. No jewelry

Conduct

Proper conduct is required at all times. We reserve the right ot refuse to admit any student or parent if he/she cannot conduct themselves in a respectful manner. For safety reason, parents are not allowed in the gym during classes. If the children are watching you, waving at you, or worrying about you, then they cannot be learning from us. Downriver Gymnastics and its coaches are not responsible for your child once class is dismissed. Please b here on time. There will be a $5 charge for every 15 minutes that a parent is late picking up their child. This charge is automatically added to your child's ledger to be paid with the next session's fees. Children are not to be dropped off or left unattended until 15 mins. Prior to class.

Note: No socks are to worn since they tend to be slippery. Bare feet or indoor only cheer shoes fro tumbling. Clothes with zippers, buckles, belt loops or belts are not to be worn.

Class Descriptions

Totally Tumbling: If you want to be a cheerleader for your school or already are. Learn the tumbling skills you need for cheerleading.

Teen Tumbling:  This class is our Totally Tumbling class for athletes ages 12 and older.  Any athlete who travels over 30 minutes for a Teen Tumbling class will receive FREE Drop-In Tumbling! 

Fantastic Cheernastics:  This class focuses on all things cheer! Motions, jumps, basic tumbling, stunts and of course, enthusiasm are all introduced.  This class is designed to develop the future male or female cheerleader-great prep class for those who wish to become middle school and high school cheerleaders. This class is offered to students ages 5-11years.

Flyers Class:  This class will teach age-appropriate stunts. Cheerleaders will learn proper posture, basic body positions, including shinney and lunge and "locking tight". The stunters will learn and understand counts. Proper spotting and the "touch, watch and away" rule will be practiced. Cheerleaders will also learn the inportance of trust, timing, confidence and concentration. Everyone will understand each role in a stunt group. Ages 5-11

Parkour - In this amazing "urban sport" class, students learn all the craziest Kong vaults, wall flips and cat leaps with access to safe matting and trampolines.

Private Lessons: Available with the coach of your choice. Talk to our office staff or the coach of your choice to set up time. Registration and deposit required.

Team Training:  Our highly trained staff will push your team to it's fullest potential. We teach skills and techniques that can be taken back to your practices! We will work with you and you team to be at your best for game day as well as be competiition-ready! In addition to an hour of tumbling training per week, our teams receive one hour of practice time-NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE- on our regulation-size cheer floor.
